I’m actually going to the UK next week (October 26-November 1) because of work in Coventry. Just a few quick questions:
- Do you know how far the trip is to Rutland Water from Coventry?
- What are the licensing requirements to fish legally there? I do have a close friend that I’m staying with while I’m in town, so if it’s a manner of being a resident, that can be arranged.
- When are the best days for going (crowd-wise) and times (early morning, late afternoon/early evening, etc.)?

You can turn up and fish at Rutland Water, although it is always advisable to book to prevent disapointment. A day ticket costs Â£17 with a generous bag limit of 8 fish. A half day with 4 fish is just Â£12. A boat is advised due to the sheer size of the place anfd this will cost Â£25 extra for a full day or Â£16 for an afternoon.

do i have to book to fish on rutland or just turn up also what are the day rates please
im thinking about sat or sunday 8/9th sept

I am about to start fly fishing and would like to obtain a map of where I can park and fish from the bank. (Iwill have obtained the required permit from the Lodge)
