Danebridge Fishery

Danebridge Fisheries, near the village of Wincle, close to Macclesfield is a popular fly fishery in Cheshire. Danebridge Fishery boasts a spring fed single 2.25 acre lake with a fisherman’s hut to provide shelter on rainy days that has good facilities. Trout fisherman can stand a chance of catching Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout, with fish averaging 2lbs. The record catch is a whopping Rainbow Trout that weighed in at 16lb 8oz Rainbow. The fishery in Cheshire has an aerator to keep the oxygen levels up in the summer and keep Danebridge Fishery open all year round. Fishing is from the bank only.

The popularity of Buzzers, particularly with bite indicators, is evident all year round although anglers can have success with a range of natural fly fishing patterns including Midge Pupa, Corixa, Olives, Damsel, Sedge, Heather Fly and Daddies.
