Hury Reservoir in Durham is stocked with both rainbow trout and brown trout. The 50 hectare water  operated by Northumbrian Water and is open from March to November.

Hury Reservoir is large enough to provide a challenge for most anglers looking for the famed wild brown trout. Natural patterns popular with imitative anglers include Daddies and GRHE.
